LUCAS BRAR will be in charge of the singer/songwriter course. Lucas has a diploma from the Royal Academy of Music. His final year there he studied in Spain with Marco Socias and received the highest possible grades in solo guitar, chamber music, and classical improvisation. Afterward he took a Masters degree in Munich, Germany, where he studied with Franz Halasz.

He has received several scholarships, among others the prestigious Rosenborg-Gehrman music scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music with the justification “Poetic and technically refined playing at the highest level.”

In addition to playing classical music, Lucas writes his own music. His tune “Eternity’s Sunrise” was chosen in 2015 for the program “p3:osignat,” as program director Sanna Bråding thought that the tune made the listener “bubble over with delight.” Lucas’ music can be described as guitar-based pop.
